What are the characteristics of a Sheep dog?

Sheep dogs are built strong, nimbly, lightly built, beautiful dog, with a long wedge-shaped head. Its coat is pretty rough but with a soft undercoating.The legs and the long tail are feathered and the hair on the face and feet is smooth.The tail however should reach to the hock. They have almond shaped eyes that are mainly dark but if the color of the dog is blue or merle then the color of your eye is that color. The nose should be black. The teeth should meet in a scissors bit parting. The ears are pretty much smaller and flexible. It is a very good home dog and protects the family quite well. The please and obey a lot. Loving and loyal, but they really don't go well with little kids and strangers.They live up to 12-15 years and needs a lot of exercise to run around with and play with.
